TRAINING

We have a standard of being prepared and being ready to greet our guests with excellence! This is our process to make sure that you are fully trained, prepared, and confident in your new position:

Prepare: Read your checklist and watch your training video. (Just scroll down)

Present: Shadow someone on a Sunday, ask questions, and discuss what you learned with your ministry leader.

Practice: Try giving back in your position with an experienced volunteer and discuss what you learned with your ministry leader.

1 - Sign up to serve online or on your next steps card. Feel free pick position to try from this list.

2 - We will put you on the GIVE BACK calendar, add you to the GIVE BACK group, and let your leader know you'll be shadowing.

3 - Your ministry leader will contact you with details and a reminder to "prepare" before you shadow.

4 - You will shadow a volunteer in your position and ask questions & your leader will follow up with you to see how it went.
(Make sure to wear your red porchShirt and name tag)

5 - You will give back in your position with someone who is experienced & your leader will follow up with you to see how it went.
(Again, make sure to wear your red porchShirt and name tag)

6 - You can now start giving back regularly and be ready to help new volunteers shadow.

7 - Always let your ministry leader know if you have questions, need help, or need supplies.

8 - Follow this switching process if you can't make it!
