Payments can be made via cash or venmo to @thePorchCC no later than September 15th
100% of entry fees go toward prize pot
Top three competitors will be awarded cash prizes
Event attenders can purchase a BBQ plate and rate competitors entries 1-5
The winners will be determined by a kind of weighted average to make the whole process as fair as possible while still encouraging a large number of participants
For example, if someone gets an average rating of 4.6 across 28 total ratings, they would score slightly higher than someone with an average of 4.4 across 33 ratings, but someone with an average of 4.6 across 29 ratings would beat both of them.
Winners will be announced at 1 pm
Unlimited meat or BBQ entries per competitor (ex. You can have chicken, ribs, and pork all entered for judging)
Competition is intended for amateur BBQers. No experience is necessary.
Sides and drinks will be provided at the event
Competitors will be responsible for table/ tents other personal items
Set up from 10-11am
General public arrives to event at 11 am
